St. Clair County Health Department currently participates in the Vaccine for Children (VFC) program and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Through these programs, we can offer vaccination to uninsured and underinsured children, children who identify as American Indian or Alaskan Native, and children covered by Medicaid and Title XXI (21) or state-funded. Underinsured is defined as private insurance coverage that does not cover all ACIP recommended vaccines. Children are eligible for VFC and CHIP until their 19th birthday. For questions about eligibility or to schedule an immunization, call 618-825-4500.
